Walter has always wondered whether some such method will be used by a "student activist", and worried about it, considering that there's little consequence in this place to simply not performing jobs on the ship at the number of participants Pyotr would be likely to sway. The only thing that seems to work is taking someone out of the picture for a few days... It's a striking self-destructiveness in his friend, and that ultimately worries Walter more than a lot of other aspects.
