forensicks ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Walter Tattersall is a 40-year-old American man of European descent. He has a rather short and compact build at 5'6" and 140 lbs. He has light brown hair that is cut short, and stubble on his face that is never quite shaved away. A pointed, small chin and full cheeks lend an innocence to his piercing blue eyes. He is depicted by Elijah Wood and you can see a full-body photograph here. ♚ FASHION: Walter generally wears long sleeves and shorts of contemporary US make, with variations on layers of the long sleeves for the weather but pants only substituted if he knows he'll be in an especially taxing situation. The colors may be distinctive ones such as orange and purple, but the patterns are understated such as blocky stripes, and shorts often more neutral blues and browns. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Walter talks with his hands like a theater kid. He's gregarious but his physicality is that of a scholar, not a soldier. ♚ SOUND: A clip is here. This interview is a decent reference too. He speaks in a distinctively (northeastern) American way. He is casual and bright and trying to be funny, unthreatening, but also with an intellectual undercurrent he can't quite shake. ♚ SCENT: Human... ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: No comment. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: He is an ordinary human. ♚ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Walter has a metal plate surgically embedded in his skull to support him after an accident. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: Please poke me if more than seven days have passed. I am also always here for starting new threads that occurred in old prompts, as long as the new thread would still be the chronologically latest thread for the involved characters. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: I personally prefer not to use fourthwalling, whether giving or receiving. If appropriate to the character you're allowed to go forward with a little chuckle "haha you kinda look like that guy who played the Hobbit". For the record, if Walter references, like, Sweeney Todd and it turns out there was a Sweeney Todd on the barge, please consider that little reference just retconned away, and you can poke me in advance if it's important to never even have a reference. However if for example there is a Sherlock Holmes that takes pride in his identity as a legend across time and space, feel free to let me know that's actually your preference. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Please feel free to contact me. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Please feel free to contact me. Walter is nonpowered and on the weak side for a grown man. However there will be consequences. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: I'm open to gradual development as appropriate for the characters. Walter's canonical love interest is a woman but he mostly describes his feelings in terms of intellectual attraction. I do consider Walter somewhere on the asexual spectrum and am generally not seeking such storylines in this particular context. ☄ Permissions ♚ CONTENT WARNINGS: Walter's character includes themes of murder, e-stalking, IRL stalking, the "true crime" community, and manipulation. The broader Yellowjackets canon also touches on cannibalism, drugs, and sexual situations involving underage characters. Are you open to negative obsessive behavior from Walter? This could involve actions like physical harm towards your character, or framing your character for a crime and blackmailing them. Are you open to "positive" obsessive behavior from Walter? This could involve stalking, manipulation, or directing negative obsessive behavior towards characters that Walter has believed would or did hurt your character. Are you open to information gathering behavior from Walter? This could involve Walter reading unrelated network posts by and about your character, or gleaning information from conversations with others. I'll try to proactively convey to the player anything major that is learned in this way.
