A few days(?) after their initial conversation, and at a time they've ascertained that there are no smokers currently in the Speakeasy ~~I don't know how they did this, don't question it~~ Sebastian arrives at the agreed-upon time, for once not in his usual butler uniform but in a dark brown three-piece suit. He gets himself a glass of red wine as he waits for Walter to arrive.

Walter? Are you okay? I just want you to check in. I'm not expecting... anything else. But if you don't answer, I'm going to check my Warden Item and come find you.

[As much as Pyotr is perfectly happy to be alone (except for the fact that he's also furious—) he knows he needs to keep up appearances. His 'friend.' Better check on him.

[ Hello there, Walter. After the Silent Hill event just kind of massively sucked and left Durandal more of a recluse than he'd usually be, he's now back to being out and about and looking just as he always would. (He's not feeling as he always would but that is! Neither here not there!)

Running into each other at the library is not precisely unusual, and neither is chatting, but there's one thing that has been on Durandal's mind before he got derailed from it. ]

Did Dr. Shaw ever answer your questions satisfactorily?

Pyotr doesn't bother Walter while he's at work anymore—perhaps another subtle sign of a light slowly dimming, a spark that has gone out, or perhaps he has just found 'more productive' things to do with his time— but he still spends quite a bit of time at the library, when he isn't helping Frankie with custodial. Today he's seated at an out of the way table covered in various books, obscuring the pages he's ripped out of a chemistry textbook. When Walter approaches, he starts picking up the books, surreptitiously slipping the chemistry pages into his jacket like a pickpocket.

"Oh, hello. Done already?" He smiles. "I was thinking earlier about what would happen if I asked the Enclosure to make a fake Barge and then I went into the fake Barge's fake Enclosure and asked it to make another fake Barge, and so on... Maybe we could place bets on how many layers of fake reality we could go down before we start to disintegrate."

John told about Justine's attack on Walter, now that I'm her warden, and I spoke to him about it, as well. He said he wanted something that would get a reaction out of her.

Because she took his blood, but isn't fazed by bloodshed, I thought...it would be appropriate to take something away from her, bodily, that she would care about. Walter said he spent two weeks healing, so I'm going to remove her sense of taste for two weeks.

When I told her, she was extremely sulky about it.

He's sprawling on Walter's couch, performing the tedious chore of checking the network for the day.

He plays Godric's latest post and rolls his eyes at the soft voice filtering out from the device.

"Oh boy, yippee!" He claps his gloved hands sarcastically, kicking his feet. "Did you hear that, Walter!? Maybe it'll snow! What a wonderful, novel experience for anyone who isn't from Russia! Aren't you excited!? Aren't you looking forward to your first, magical Christmas aboard the Barge!?"

He wonders if he could get away with leaving 'get murdered repeatedly' as a response.

Hi Walter. I’m going to be mostly in my cabin for a bit. If you n…. Well. You don’t really need me for… things. But you know how to reach me, anyway. Remember to bring your shield with you when you’re out and I have a spoon I want you to come and get when you have a second. Did you hear about what Justine did today?

On the back of the clearly hand-drawn card, he has printed the date (Dec 28) and time, as well as the location - the Enclosure.

There's another new psycho killer on this ship. I want to arm you again.

[Walter will return to his cabin to find an envelope taped to his door. It has a crude stick-drawing of a cat’s face in the corner. No signature, but the cat’s mouth is shaped like an ‘M’. Inside the envelope is a flash drive. On the flash drive is about ten hours of cat videos. Someone may have taken a very brief trip to LA.]

Hey. So. What’s all this about you wanting to talk to the person that just murder spree’d with the warden protections keeping them from killing some more? I thought you a) wanted to avoid violence against your person and b) wanted wardens to keep killer inmates from killing? This premise seems to work against both objectives. Are you at least taking your shield and phaser?
